# David Arden
> The "Opening Doors" initiative, spearheaded by First Nations artists David and Violet Arden, is a music and storytelling project dedicated to fostering cultural sharing and reconciliation. In collaboration with the Wilin Centre for Indigenous Arts and Cultural Development, the site aims to amplify First Nations voices and create pathways for positive change through the arts. It focuses on investing in grassroots communities, engaging diverse groups, and promoting healing and truth-telling. The initiative strives to build authentic collaborative models between First Nations artists, communities, and institutions, with recent efforts including the touring "Meerta - The Ballad of James Arden" project to share ancestral stories and promote cultural understanding.
